Max Frankel was a reporter for The New York Times during what close to call one of the most frightening times post-World War II. In the book High Noon in the Cold War, Frankel tells his in depth coverage of the game of nuclear yellowed played by John F. It all began with a Russian ploy worthy of the Horse at Troy, in the summer of 1962 (P. 7). The Soviet Union began to carry out their mission to attack the join States. The Soviets packed ships that appear normal with nuclear missiles to Cuba where they would be in closer range to America.



Nikita Khrushchev, the dictator of the Soviet Union in the mid 1950s, sine qua noned to have missiles aimed to the US as the US had in Turkey towards Russia.
