Ernest Kummer

Ernest was natural in Sorau, Brandenburg. Brandenburg being located in Germany, Ernest was born on January 29, 1810. His father was a physician who died when Ernest was three familys old. Ernest was first married to Ottilie Mendelssohn. His second wife, Bertha was a maternal cousin of Ottilie. He had 13 children and his daughter Marie married the mathematician Hermann Schwarz. In 1890 Kummer retired from doctrine and from mathematics and died three years later in Berlin on the day of May 14, 1893

When Ernest turned 18, he entered the University of Halle with the intention of befitting a protestant minister. As part of his degree, he was undeniable to take math classes. Over time, he switched his major from worship to mathematics. The year 1831 was when his life changed. He won a plunder for a mathematical essay that he had written. In find of this essay, the university awarded him a doctorate in addition to his teaching certificate. That identical year, he was teaching mathematics at the Gymnasium. A year later, he received a more permanent limit at the Gymnasium in Leignitz. He stayed in that short letter for 10 years. While there, he taught mathematics and physics. During that time, Ernest worked hard on mathematical research and wrote an important paper on hypergeometric serial in 1836. Three years later in 1839, time he was still a school teacher, he was choose to the Berlin Academy of Science. Ernests schooling went beyond what he expected. Being in honors and getting accepted to many universities, it seemed like Ernests life was way out in the right direction.
